The specialty chemicals company LANXESS was awarded two prestigious PR awards for its global communications campaign “Green Mobility – energized by LANXESS”. LANXESS won the first prize in the category “Integrated Strategic Communications” at the International German PR Award, that was organized for the twelfth time by the F.A.Z.-Institute and the German Public Relations Association (DPRG). LANXESS was also awarded the “Econ Award in Bronze” at the Econ Awards, which are annually organized by Econ Verlag and Handelsblatt-Gruppe.
“globeone congratulates LANXESS for winning these two prestigious awards,” says Dr. Niklas Schaffmeister, Managing Partner of globeone in Cologne. “We are very proud of having been part of this strategic initiative. Truly integrated communication approaches become increasingly important, especially for complex and abstract topics in the B-to-B sector. The success of the “Green Mobility” campaign shows that this strategy offers real added value.”
After the successful campaign to celebrate the 100th anniversary of synthetic rubber in 2009, LANXESS started the “Green Mobility” project in 2012. LANXESS is the world’s leading supplier of high-performance rubber and enables tire manufacturers to produce fuel-saving tires. With the “Green Mobility” campaign LANXESS also addresses end-consumers for the first time. Communication focuses on “Green Tires” that enable car drivers to protect the environment by saving fuel and CO2 emissions. The campaign aims at highlighting LANXESS’ strength in innovation as provider of premium products and solutions for a more sustainable mobility and at increasing the awareness of the necessity of a sustainable “Green Mobility” among the general public. In the financial year 2012, LANXESS generated sales of about EUR 1.6 billion with its products for “Green Mobility”.
